Hello! My name is Alana Kay and I have a passion for staying in touch with friends and family. I love to send cards and notes via snail mail, am an avid Facebooker, and look for any excuse to entertain. I am a born and raised Texan! My husband uprooted me shortly after we got married...I said "I do" before I knew I would have to leave my comfort zone! When my husband and I moved from our network of family and friends to a part of the country where we knew no one, I was determined to keep my old relationships alive and well with regular communication. At the same time, I wanted to make a lasting impression on the new friends I would be meeting.
We now have a 6 month old son and a 4 year old Border Collie. I enjoy cooking and watching the Food Network channel, tasting new wines, putting together unique outfits, and being an active member of the Junior League. I get bored easily and find it hard to sit still. I have been known to respond to an email at 4am. The best way for me to spend a day away from the baby is at the spa...the whole day! I grew up on a farm where we raised sheep, pigs, rabbits, goats and had a few ducks, chickens, cats, dogs, a donkey, a Llama, a couple of cows, and who knows what else. I am a small town girl who ran to the city as fast as I could and never looked back. My parents are a little crazy ;) , I am always in a competition with my younger brother (even if he is unaware of that!), and I have very energetic in-laws. Words to live by: Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths."
